Intermediate license passengers curfew — Arkansas Permit Test

Intermediate license passengers curfew on the Arkansas permit test — 3 rules, each with the reason behind it and a question on it while it is fresh.

The rules

An Arkansas intermediate license holder may not drive with more than 1 unrelated minor passenger unless accompanied by a licensed driver 21 or older in the front seat.

Each extra teen in the car is another distraction for a new driver, and distraction is what causes many young drivers' crashes.

A driver with an Intermediate License shall not operate a motor vehicle with more than one (1) unrelated minor passenger unless accompanied by a licensed driver who is 21 or older AND occupies the front seat of the vehicle.

Arkansas Driver License Study Guide, p.4

An Arkansas intermediate license holder may not drive between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. unless accompanied by a licensed driver 21 or older and driving to and from a school activity, church activity, job or emergency.

Darkness and late hours make driving harder for a new driver, so the law keeps them off the road then.

A driver with an Intermediate License cannot operate a motor vehicle between the hours of 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. unless accompanied by a licensed driver who is 21 or older AND driving to and from a school activity, church activity, job, or an emergency.

Arkansas Driver License Study Guide, p.4

During the late-night hours, an Arkansas intermediate license holder may drive only with a licensed driver 21 or older and only to and from a school activity, church activity, job or emergency.

The law allows only the late trips that really need to happen, and even then with an experienced driver along.

A driver with an Intermediate License cannot operate a motor vehicle between the hours of 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. unless accompanied by a licensed driver who is 21 or older AND driving to and from a school activity, church activity, job, or an emergency.

On the test

Driving without a qualifying supervising driver in the front seat, how many unrelated minor passengers may an Arkansas intermediate license holder carry?

No more than 1. Each extra teen in the car is another distraction for a new driver, and distraction is what causes many young drivers' crashes. Arkansas Driver License Study Guide, p.4: “A driver with an Intermediate License shall not operate a motor vehicle with more than one (1) unrelated minor passenger unless accompanied by a licensed driver who is 21 or older AND occupies the front seat of the vehicle.”

How this works

Most practice tests hand you a bank of questions and leave the manual somewhere else. This one puts them together.

You read one law and the reason behind it, then answer a question on that law while it is still fresh. Get it right and you move on; get it wrong and you have found the gap while it is cheap to fix, not on the morning of the exam.

Learning one rule at a time, and proving it immediately, is what turns a manual you skimmed into something you actually know — and it makes studying feel like getting somewhere rather than like waiting to find out.

What it costs

  • One payment, once — not a subscription. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel, for an exam you sit one time.
  • Free to start: a 10-question test and the first section of cards. No sign-up and no account.
  • Paying opens the rest of the cards, unlimited full-length practice tests, and retests built from exactly the questions you got wrong.
  • Every level up to Prepared — 3 tests passed in a row.
  • Do the work, fail the real exam, and we refund you.
