Failure to appear — Missouri Permit Test

Failure to appear on the Missouri permit test — 3 rules, each with the reason behind it and a question on it while it is fresh.

The rules

When you fail to appear in court for a traffic violation, the court gives you 30 days to pay the fines before it notifies the Driver License Bureau.

Thirty days is a real second chance, and the clock starts without you being told twice.

The court will give you 30 days to pay the fines before the court notifies the Driver License Bureau (DLB).

Missouri Driver Guide, p.74

If you do not comply within 30 days, the court notifies the Bureau and your driving privilege is suspended immediately.

There is no further warning and no further notice. The suspension arrives with the notification.

the court will notify the DLB of your failure to comply, and your driving privilege will be suspended immediately

Missouri Driver Guide, p.74

A failure to appear suspension lasts until the Bureau receives proof the ticket is paid and a $20 reinstatement fee.

Two things, and the suspension does not end until both have arrived.

your driving privilege will be suspended until the Bureau receives: • Proof that the ticket is paid; and • A $20 reinstatement fee.

On the test

How long does the court give you to pay before notifying the Driver License Bureau?

30 days to pay. Thirty days is a real second chance, and the clock starts without you being told twice. Missouri Driver Guide, p.74: “The court will give you 30 days to pay the fines before the court notifies the Driver License Bureau (DLB).”

How this works

Most practice tests hand you a bank of questions and leave the manual somewhere else. This one puts them together.

You read one law and the reason behind it, then answer a question on that law while it is still fresh. Get it right and you move on; get it wrong and you have found the gap while it is cheap to fix, not on the morning of the exam.

Learning one rule at a time, and proving it immediately, is what turns a manual you skimmed into something you actually know — and it makes studying feel like getting somewhere rather than like waiting to find out.

What it costs

  • One payment, once — not a subscription. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel, for an exam you sit one time.
  • Free to start: a 10-question test and the first section of cards. No sign-up and no account.
  • Paying opens the rest of the cards, unlimited full-length practice tests, and retests built from exactly the questions you got wrong.
  • Every level up to Prepared — 3 tests passed in a row.
  • Do the work, fail the real exam, and we refund you.
