What happens if I get pulled over and I don't have my license on me?
Under New Jersey law, you must carry your license and show it when an officer asks, so you can get a ticket. The fine is $150. If you bring your license that was valid that day to court, the judge may dismiss the charge, though you may still pay court costs.
