The rules
Suspension means your driving privilege is withdrawn for a time, and you may reinstate it by paying the fees at the end of that period.
It has an end date built into it, which revocation does not.
Revocation means your driving privilege is terminated, and you must re-apply and pass the vision screening, the two-part knowledge exam and the road skills test to get it back.
There is nothing to reinstate, so you start the whole process over.
A conviction for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs will suspend or revoke your privilege to drive.
It is the offense the whole penalty section is built around.
Failing to stop and identify yourself at the scene of a crash where someone has been injured or killed will suspend or revoke your driving privilege.
Leaving takes away the help the injured person needed in the first minutes.
Refusing a blood or breath test when charged with driving under the influence may suspend or revoke your driving privilege.
You already gave consent by driving, so the refusal is its own offense.
Taking a driver's license exam for another person, or appearing to renew a license for them, will suspend or revoke your driving privilege.
The whole point of the exam is that the person holding the license passed it.
