Losing your license — Washington Permit Test
Losing your license on the Washington permit test — 4 rules, each with the reason behind it and a question on it while it is fresh.
The rules
A driver can lose their driving privileges for racing or driving recklessly, for running from law enforcement, and for putting a construction or emergency worker in danger.
These are the ones where a suspension is the point, because a fine would not change the behavior.
Putting a construction or emergency worker in danger
Driving without insurance can cost a driver their driving privileges in Washington.
Without insurance, somebody else pays for your mistake, which is the reason the state treats it as more than paperwork.
Driving without insurance
A minor who receives an alcohol, drug, or firearm offense risks having their license delayed until they are 17.
For a fifteen-year-old that is two years of rides from somebody else, which is the part that lands.
Minors who receive an alcohol, drug, or firearm offense run the risk of delaying their license until they are 17.
A driver getting their license back after a suspension must take the knowledge and skills exams again, even if they have already passed them.
The state is not asking whether you once knew the rules; it is asking whether you know them now.
When you are eligible to get your driver license back, you must take the driving knowledge and skills exams (even if you’ve already taken them).
On the test
Which of these costs a Washington driver their driving privileges?

How this works
Most practice tests hand you a bank of questions and leave the manual somewhere else. This one puts them together.
You read one law and the reason behind it, then answer a question on that law while it is still fresh. Get it right and you move on; get it wrong and you have found the gap while it is cheap to fix, not on the morning of the exam.
Learning one rule at a time, and proving it immediately, is what turns a manual you skimmed into something you actually know — and it makes studying feel like getting somewhere rather than like waiting to find out.
What it costs
- One payment, once — not a subscription. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel, for an exam you sit one time.
- Free to start: a 10-question test and the first section of cards. No sign-up and no account.
- Paying opens the rest of the cards, unlimited full-length practice tests, and retests built from exactly the questions you got wrong.
- Every level up to Prepared — 3 tests passed in a row.
- Do the work, fail the real exam, and we refund you.
