The rules

You may not stop, stand or park on a sidewalk, on a crosswalk, within an intersection, in front of a driveway, or in front of a wheelchair ramp or curb cut.
Each of those forces somebody else out into moving traffic to get around you.

When you parallel park on a two-way street, the right-hand wheels should be parallel to and within 18 inches of the right curb.
