No proof of insurance suspension — Arizona Permit Test

No proof of insurance suspension on the Arizona permit test — 3 rules, each with the reason behind it and a question on it while it is fresh.

The rules

A driver convicted of not having proof of current financial responsibility has the license, the vehicle registration and the license plates suspended, as directed by the court.

A driver with no insurance leaves the other person to pay for the crash. Taking the plates keeps the car itself off the road.

shall receive a suspension of the driving license, vehicle registration and license plates (as directed by the courts) for:

Arizona Driver License Manual and Customer Service Guide, p.64

A second no-insurance violation within 36 months brings a 6-month suspension.

A second time without insurance shows the first suspension did not work, so the next one lasts twice as long.

6 months for a second violation within 36 months.

Arizona Driver License Manual and Customer Service Guide, p.64

A third or later no-insurance violation within 36 months brings a 1-year suspension.

Each repeat makes the loss longer, so a driver who keeps skipping insurance ends up off the road for a full year.

1 year for a third or subsequent violation within 36 months.

On the test

What is suspended when a driver is convicted of having no proof of insurance?

License, registration and plates. A driver with no insurance leaves the other person to pay for the crash. Taking the plates keeps the car itself off the road. How this works

Most practice tests hand you a bank of questions and leave the manual somewhere else. This one puts them together.

You read one law and the reason behind it, then answer a question on that law while it is still fresh. Get it right and you move on; get it wrong and you have found the gap while it is cheap to fix, not on the morning of the exam.

Learning one rule at a time, and proving it immediately, is what turns a manual you skimmed into something you actually know — and it makes studying feel like getting somewhere rather than like waiting to find out.

What it costs

  • One payment, once — not a subscription. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel, for an exam you sit one time.
  • Free to start: a 10-question test and the first section of cards. No sign-up and no account.
  • Paying opens the rest of the cards, unlimited full-length practice tests, and retests built from exactly the questions you got wrong.
  • Every level up to Prepared — 3 tests passed in a row.
  • Do the work, fail the real exam, and we refund you.
