GDL after six months — Delaware Permit Test

GDL after six months on the Delaware permit test — 3 rules, each with the reason behind it and a question on it while it is fresh.

The rules

After the first six months, a Level One permit holder may drive unsupervised between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Late-night roads carry tired and drunk drivers that a new driver is least ready to handle.

The permit holder may drive unsupervised between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Delaware Driver Manual, p.30

After the first six months, between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., a Level One permit holder may drive alone only when going directly to or from church activities, work, or school activities on school property.

A teen who could drive alone at night for any reason would be on the road at the riskiest hours for fun.

The permit holder may drive between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. only when under supervision.

Delaware Driver Manual, p.30

In the second six months, when no supervisor is present, a Level One permit holder may carry only one passenger.

Two friends in the car with no adult turn a short trip into a show for the back seat.

During the second six month period of unsupervised driving, when a supervisor is not present, only one other passenger in addition to the driver can be in the vehicle.

On the test

After six months, during what hours may a Level One permit holder drive without a supervisor?

6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.. Late-night roads carry tired and drunk drivers that a new driver is least ready to handle. Delaware Driver Manual, p.30: “The permit holder may drive unsupervised between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.”

How this works

Most practice tests hand you a bank of questions and leave the manual somewhere else. This one puts them together.

You read one law and the reason behind it, then answer a question on that law while it is still fresh. Get it right and you move on; get it wrong and you have found the gap while it is cheap to fix, not on the morning of the exam.

Learning one rule at a time, and proving it immediately, is what turns a manual you skimmed into something you actually know — and it makes studying feel like getting somewhere rather than like waiting to find out.

What it costs

  • One payment, once — not a subscription. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel, for an exam you sit one time.
  • Free to start: a 10-question test and the first section of cards. No sign-up and no account.
  • Paying opens the rest of the cards, unlimited full-length practice tests, and retests built from exactly the questions you got wrong.
  • Every level up to Prepared — 3 tests passed in a row.
  • Do the work, fail the real exam, and we refund you.
