Suspended or lost license — Missouri Permit Test
Suspended or lost license on the Missouri permit test — 5 rules, each with the reason behind it and a question on it while it is fresh.
The rules
If your license is lost, stolen, or destroyed you must apply for a duplicate.
Driving with no card is its own offense. The duplicate is what puts you back inside the law while you look for the original.
If your license is lost, stolen, or destroyed, you must apply for a duplicate license.
If your license expires within the next six months you may renew early instead of buying a duplicate.
Two trips and two fees for the same card is waste. Renewing early collapses them into one.
If your current license expires within the next six months, you may renew your license early rather than obtain a duplicate license.
A holder of a non-commercial license may take the vision and road sign tests and renew even while the driving privilege is suspended.
Renewing the card and getting the privilege back are separate things. One can happen while the other is still blocked.
If you held a non-commercial driver license, you may take the vision and road sign tests and renew your license even while your driving privilege is suspended.
If your driving privilege has been revoked, you may renew during the revocation only when it came from refusing a chemical test.
Revocation is the harder of the two. The one exception is narrow, and it is written into the manual rather than left to the clerk.
if your driving privilege has been revoked, you may only renew your license during the revocation if it resulted from your refusal to take a chemical test.
You do not get your license back until the reinstatement requirements are complete and the driving privilege is reinstated.
Renewing produces a card the state keeps. Holding it again is the last step, not the first.
You will not receive your license back until you have completed your reinstatement requirements and your driving privilege has been reinstated.
On the test
Your license is stolen. What does Missouri require?
That you apply for a duplicate license. Driving with no card is its own offense. The duplicate is what puts you back inside the law while you look for the original. Missouri Driver Guide, p.11: “If your license is lost, stolen, or destroyed, you must apply for a duplicate license.”
How this works
Most practice tests hand you a bank of questions and leave the manual somewhere else. This one puts them together.
You read one law and the reason behind it, then answer a question on that law while it is still fresh. Get it right and you move on; get it wrong and you have found the gap while it is cheap to fix, not on the morning of the exam.
Learning one rule at a time, and proving it immediately, is what turns a manual you skimmed into something you actually know — and it makes studying feel like getting somewhere rather than like waiting to find out.
What it costs
- One payment, once — not a subscription. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel, for an exam you sit one time.
- Free to start: a 10-question test and the first section of cards. No sign-up and no account.
- Paying opens the rest of the cards, unlimited full-length practice tests, and retests built from exactly the questions you got wrong.
- Every level up to Prepared — 3 tests passed in a row.
- Do the work, fail the real exam, and we refund you.
