What happens if I get pulled over and I don't have my license on me?
Utah law says you must carry your license and show it when an officer asks, so you can get a ticket. It's a $50 fine you can pay without going to court. If you show the court a license that was valid when you were stopped, the charge can be dropped.

What happens if I'm driving past my curfew with a provisional license?
Under Utah law, if you're under 17, an officer can cite you for driving between 12:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. It's an infraction, and they can't impound your car just for that. You have a defense if a licensed driver 21 or older sat beside you, or you drove for work, an emergency, farm work or a school activity.
