Full privileges at 16 and a half — Wyoming Permit Test

Full privileges at 16 and a half on the Wyoming permit test — 3 rules, each with the reason behind it and a question on it while it is fresh.

The rules

At 16 and a half, a Wyoming driver may get full privileges with an intermediate license at least 6 months old, no suspension, and an approved driver education course.

Six clean months on the limited license show the teen can handle driving before the limits come off.

At 16 and one-half years of age, applicants may also be issued full driving privileges if they have a current intermediate license that is at least six months old, their current, restricted driving privileges have not been suspended, and if they have completed a driver education course approved by the Wyoming Department of Education.

Wyoming Rules of the Road Driver License Manual, p.13

A 16-and-a-half-year-old seeking full Wyoming privileges must present a signed certificate from an approved driver education course that includes behind-the-wheel driving.

Reading about driving is not the same as doing it, so the course must include real time at the wheel.

Present a signed certificate of completion from an approved driver education course which includes behind-the-wheel driving;

A 16-and-a-half-year-old seeking full Wyoming privileges must pass a vision screening, present proof of identity and the driver education certificate, and have a parent sign the minor's release.

The teen already passed the road test for the intermediate license, but eyesight still has to be checked again.

This applicant must: Present a signed certificate of completion from an approved driver education course which includes behind-the-wheel driving; Present proof of identity; Pass a vision screening;

On the test

At 16 and a half, how old must your intermediate license be to get full privileges?

At least 6 months. Six clean months on the limited license show the teen can handle driving before the limits come off. Wyoming Rules of the Road Driver License Manual, p.13: “At 16 and one-half years of age, applicants may also be issued full driving privileges if they have a current intermediate license that is at least six months old, their current, restricted driving privileges have not been suspended, and if they have completed a driver education course approved by the Wyoming Department of Education.”

How this works

Most practice tests hand you a bank of questions and leave the manual somewhere else. This one puts them together.

You read one law and the reason behind it, then answer a question on that law while it is still fresh. Get it right and you move on; get it wrong and you have found the gap while it is cheap to fix, not on the morning of the exam.

Learning one rule at a time, and proving it immediately, is what turns a manual you skimmed into something you actually know — and it makes studying feel like getting somewhere rather than like waiting to find out.

What it costs

  • One payment, once — not a subscription. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel, for an exam you sit one time.
  • Free to start: a 10-question test and the first section of cards. No sign-up and no account.
  • Paying opens the rest of the cards, unlimited full-length practice tests, and retests built from exactly the questions you got wrong.
  • Every level up to Prepared — 3 tests passed in a row.
  • Do the work, fail the real exam, and we refund you.
