License application requirements — Delaware Permit Test
License application requirements on the Delaware permit test — 4 rules, each with the reason behind it and a question on it while it is fresh.
The rules
A Delaware applicant who holds a license or ID card from another state must surrender it.
A driver holding two licenses could hand the clean one to an officer and hide the record on the other.
Applicants who are licensed or have an identification (ID) card in another state must surrender their license and/or ID card from the other state(s).
Every Delaware driver license applicant must pass an eye-screening examination.
A driver who cannot see a sign until it is beside them has no time to obey it.
Each driver must pass an eye-screening examination.
Every Delaware driver license applicant may be given a written exam and a road skills exam.
A driver who has never shown what they know may be missing a rule that matters on the first trip.
Every driver license applicant is subject to a written and road skills exam
In Delaware, a driver license may be suspended at any time if false information is found on the signed application.
A license won by lying on the form would leave the state trusting a record that is not true.
A driver license may be suspended any time false information is found on the signed application form
On the test
What must a Delaware applicant do with a license from another state?
Surrender it to Delaware. A driver holding two licenses could hand the clean one to an officer and hide the record on the other. Delaware Driver Manual, p.21: “Applicants who are licensed or have an identification (ID) card in another state must surrender their license and/or ID card from the other state(s).”
How this works
Most practice tests hand you a bank of questions and leave the manual somewhere else. This one puts them together.
You read one law and the reason behind it, then answer a question on that law while it is still fresh. Get it right and you move on; get it wrong and you have found the gap while it is cheap to fix, not on the morning of the exam.
Learning one rule at a time, and proving it immediately, is what turns a manual you skimmed into something you actually know — and it makes studying feel like getting somewhere rather than like waiting to find out.
What it costs
- One payment, once — not a subscription. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel, for an exam you sit one time.
- Free to start: a 10-question test and the first section of cards. No sign-up and no account.
- Paying opens the rest of the cards, unlimited full-length practice tests, and retests built from exactly the questions you got wrong.
- Every level up to Prepared — 3 tests passed in a row.
- Do the work, fail the real exam, and we refund you.
