GDL violations and full license — Montana Permit Test
GDL violations and full license on the Montana permit test — 3 rules, each with the reason behind it and a question on it while it is fresh.
The rules
A first violation of Montana's first-year restricted license rules brings 20 to 60 hours of community service.
A rule with no cost for breaking it is one many teens would test on a Friday night.
First Offense: Between 20 to 60 hours of community service.
A second violation of Montana's restricted license rules brings a six-month suspension of the teen's license.
A teen who breaks the rules again after a warning has shown they need time off the road.
Second Offense: Suspension of the teenager’s driver license for six months.
The first-year restrictions end on the date shown on the back of the license, or when the teen turns 18, whichever comes first.
Without a set end date a teen could stay under the limits long after they have the experience to drop them.
The first-year restricted license restrictions automatically end on the date indicated on the back of the teenager’s driver license, or when the individual turns 18 years old, whichever occurs first.
On the test
What is the penalty for a first violation of the restricted license rules?
20 to 60 hours of community service. A rule with no cost for breaking it is one many teens would test on a Friday night. Montana Driver Manual, p.8: “First Offense: Between 20 to 60 hours of community service.”
How this works
Most practice tests hand you a bank of questions and leave the manual somewhere else. This one puts them together.
You read one law and the reason behind it, then answer a question on that law while it is still fresh. Get it right and you move on; get it wrong and you have found the gap while it is cheap to fix, not on the morning of the exam.
Learning one rule at a time, and proving it immediately, is what turns a manual you skimmed into something you actually know — and it makes studying feel like getting somewhere rather than like waiting to find out.
What it costs
- One payment, once — not a subscription. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel, for an exam you sit one time.
- Free to start: a 10-question test and the first section of cards. No sign-up and no account.
- Paying opens the rest of the cards, unlimited full-length practice tests, and retests built from exactly the questions you got wrong.
- Every level up to Prepared — 3 tests passed in a row.
- Do the work, fail the real exam, and we refund you.
