Youthful driver suspension — Wyoming Permit Test
Youthful driver suspension on the Wyoming permit test — 4 rules, each with the reason behind it and a question on it while it is fresh.
The rules
A Wyoming driver younger than 21 in actual physical control of a vehicle with an alcohol concentration of 0.02 percent or more is suspended for DWUI.
Young drivers are still learning, and even a small amount of alcohol is enough to make their mistakes far more likely.
If you are younger than 21 years of age and are in actual physical control of a vehicle with an alcohol concentration of two one-hundredths of one percent (0.02 percent) or more, you will be suspended for DWUI.
The youthful driver suspension at 0.02 percent applies to drivers younger than 21.
Drinking is illegal under 21, so there is no reason for a young driver to have alcohol in their blood at all.
If you are younger than 21 years of age and are in actual physical control of a vehicle with an alcohol concentration of two one-hundredths of one percent (0.02 percent) or more, you will be suspended for DWUI.
A first youthful driver suspension lasts 90 days.
Losing a license for a whole season teaches a new driver that drinking and driving is never worth it.
you will be suspended for DWUI. First offense: Length of suspension: 90 days.
A second or subsequent youthful driver offense within two years brings a six-month suspension.
A second offense so soon shows the first lesson did not stick, so the time off the road grows.
Second or subsequent offense: (within two years) Length of suspension: Six months.
On the test
A driver under 21 is suspended for DWUI at what alcohol concentration?
0.02 percent or more. Young drivers are still learning, and even a small amount of alcohol is enough to make their mistakes far more likely. Wyoming Rules of the Road Driver License Manual, p.22: “If you are younger than 21 years of age and are in actual physical control of a vehicle with an alcohol concentration of two one-hundredths of one percent (0.02 percent) or more, you will be suspended for DWUI.”
How this works
Most practice tests hand you a bank of questions and leave the manual somewhere else. This one puts them together.
You read one law and the reason behind it, then answer a question on that law while it is still fresh. Get it right and you move on; get it wrong and you have found the gap while it is cheap to fix, not on the morning of the exam.
Learning one rule at a time, and proving it immediately, is what turns a manual you skimmed into something you actually know — and it makes studying feel like getting somewhere rather than like waiting to find out.
What it costs
- One payment, once — not a subscription. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel, for an exam you sit one time.
- Free to start: a 10-question test and the first section of cards. No sign-up and no account.
- Paying opens the rest of the cards, unlimited full-length practice tests, and retests built from exactly the questions you got wrong.
- Every level up to Prepared — 3 tests passed in a row.
- Do the work, fail the real exam, and we refund you.
