License revocations — Utah Permit Test

License revocations on the Utah permit test — 8 rules, each with the reason behind it and a question on it while it is fresh.

The rules

A Utah driving privilege is revoked where a court finds the driver guilty of manslaughter or automobile homicide while driving.

Revocation ends the privilege rather than pausing it. It is what the worst outcomes on the road cost.

Manslaughter or automobile homicide while driving.

Utah Driver Handbook 2026-2027, p.71

A Utah driving privilege is revoked for making a false statement under oath when applying for a driver license.

Lying on the application costs the license the application was for, and it is treated as seriously as a crash.

Making a false statement under oath when applying for a driver license.

Utah Driver Handbook 2026-2027, p.71

A Utah driving privilege is revoked for failing to stop and give aid after a crash resulting in the death of or personal injury to another person.

Leaving somebody hurt at the roadside takes the license outright, over and above the felony charge.

Failure to stop and give aid if you are involved in a motor vehicle crash resulting in the death of or personal injury to another.

Utah Driver Handbook 2026-2027, p.71

Reckless driving in Utah is operating a vehicle in willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property, and two reckless or impaired driving charges in one year revoke the license.

Two in twelve months is a pattern rather than a bad day, and Utah treats the second one as the end of it.

Two reckless or impaired driving charges in one year.

Utah Driver Handbook 2026-2027, p.71

A Utah driving privilege is revoked for attempting to flee or refusing to stop after a visual or audible signal from a police officer.

Running from a stop turns a traffic matter into a pursuit, and Utah takes the license for it outright.

Attempting to flee or refusing to stop after receiving a visual or audible signal from a police officer.

Utah Driver Handbook 2026-2027, p.71

A Utah driver who forfeits bail after being arrested for a revocable offense has their license revoked or suspended as if they had appeared in court and been found guilty.

Skipping the court date does not avoid the finding. The state records it as though the judge had made it.

If you forfeit bail after being arrested for one of the above, your driver license will be revoked/suspended as if you had appeared in court and been found guilty.

Utah Driver Handbook 2026-2027, p.72

A Utah driving privilege is revoked for discharging or allowing the discharge of a firearm from a vehicle.

It is on the revocation list beside homicide, because a vehicle used that way is a weapon rather than transport.

Discharging or allowing the discharge of a firearm from a vehicle.

Utah Driver Handbook 2026-2027, p.72

A Utah driving privilege is revoked where the driver has two citations enhanced as a road rage violation in one year.

One road rage conviction suspends the license; a second within the year revokes it.

You have two citations that have been enhanced as a road rage violation in one year.

On the test

Which conviction revokes a Utah driving privilege?

Automobile homicide. Revocation ends the privilege rather than pausing it. It is what the worst outcomes on the road cost. Utah Driver Handbook 2026-2027, p.71: “Manslaughter or automobile homicide while driving.”

How this works

Most practice tests hand you a bank of questions and leave the manual somewhere else. This one puts them together.

You read one law and the reason behind it, then answer a question on that law while it is still fresh. Get it right and you move on; get it wrong and you have found the gap while it is cheap to fix, not on the morning of the exam.

Learning one rule at a time, and proving it immediately, is what turns a manual you skimmed into something you actually know — and it makes studying feel like getting somewhere rather than like waiting to find out.

What it costs

  • One payment, once — not a subscription. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel, for an exam you sit one time.
  • Free to start: a 10-question test and the first section of cards. No sign-up and no account.
  • Paying opens the rest of the cards, unlimited full-length practice tests, and retests built from exactly the questions you got wrong.
  • Every level up to Prepared — 3 tests passed in a row.
  • Do the work, fail the real exam, and we refund you.
